The head teacher St. Benedict High school Silver Okumu has announced that the school will start sponsoring of students who thrive in co curricular activities in a move to promote and develop talent.

The head teacher while speaking during the thanks giving ceremony to celebrate the girls’ victory in the recently concluded Tororo district netball competition said that not all students who have talents want to exhibit them in public, a situation that calls for appreciating those who are willing to show case theirs.

The head teacher says the move will see students who excel in activities such as football, netball among others benefit from school fees waivers. St. Benedict emerged the winner after beating Rock High School 29:25 in the final match.

Okumu pledged the school’s commitment to support the team to ensure that it participates in the national competitions.

The national netball competitions is expected to take place in June, Soroti district.
