Gerald Obbo head of the Risk Department at Bank of Uganda has lashed out at Tororo political leaders for failing to making good use of the available industries in the district to foster development.

Speaking to our reporter during an exclusive interview at the weekend in Sop Sop Sub County, Tororo district during a fundraising drive for the completion of St. James Church of Uganda, Obbo said the politicians of Tororo waste much of their time in politicking instead of using the available opportunities cause rapid change.

He said through the local government act, Tororo is entitled to 25% revenue from any industry’s profit unfortunately the politicians have either not bothered to follow up on the matter or they are turning it to their personal benefits.

Obbo says Tororo will remain stagnant in development if the people do not format their memory and reprogram by voting out un resourceful leaders.
