Leaders opposed to the age limit removal have today launched TOGIKWATAKO campaign in Bukedi region aimed at spreading information against the amendment of article 102 (b) of the constitution.

The group comprising mostly of FDC members and led by Kevina Taka, FDC’s Women’s League Chair Person Eastern Region, says they will move in all districts within Bukedi region to spread the gospel of TOGIKWATAKO.

Taaka was speaking to the public in Rubongi sub county Tororo district this afternoon.

Patrick Oboi Amuriat, presidential candidate for FDC party presidential seat said they will distribute the red ribbons to everyone in the country during their anti-age limit removal campaign as symbol of liberation struggle.

This follows the tabling of private members bill to the parliament by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi seeking to amend article 102 (b) of 1995 constitution which puts presidential age between 35 and 75 years
