Four people perished in an accident that occurred yesterday morning along Nagongera Busolwe Tororo road when a Fuso lorry number UAV010V lost control in attempt to dodge a boda boda cyclist who was ridding at the middle of the road towards Busolwe from Tororo Town.
According to Nagongera town council LC3 chairperson Pius Opio, the accident occurred near St. Maria Gorret Sesera girls Primary School in Nagongera .
The lorry had over 26people on it and 22 who survived, are seriously in critical condition at Tororo main hospital.
The dead have been identified as Julius Owor, Topista Nyaburu, and Michael Ofwono. The identity of the fourth person has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile Ogwal Kasule the Officer in Charge Traffic Tororo CPS attributes the accident to over speeding and drunken driving.
This is the second fatal accident along Nagongera Busolwe road in a period of less than two months.
