A pastor subscribing to Repentance and Holiness Church, Molo is currently on the run for fear of arrest after his wife died of electrocution.
Pastor Samuel Talemwa 29 years old and a resident of Bison B in Western Division, Tororo abandoned the body of his wife, Janet Nabudye in the house located at Magodes Trading Centre in Molo Sub County and fled to an undisclosed place on Monday 15th April.
Tororo District Police Commander, (DPC) Rodgers Chebene confirmed the development saying the police got involved after they were tipped by a Clinical Officer who was struggling to rescue the life of Nabudye.
When asked the cause of the death, Chebene revealed that the postmortem results indicate that Nabudye died from electrocution.
The DPC said that when they went to search the home of the deceased, they found hanging naked wires in the roof which he believes might have shocked the woman to death.
Chebene said that the deceased died from a local clinic in Magodes Trading Center where she was receiving some treatment.
He said the couple occupied this house five days ago after Odongo who was living in the house relocated to Kiryandongo.
He said that police is currently pursuing the pastor and requested anybody having information on his whereabouts to report to police.
The DPC meanwhile appeals to the people of Tororo to shun illegal power connections to avoid problems that originate from this evil act.
