The Tieng Adhola cultural leader His Royal Highness the Kwar Adhola Moses Steven Owor has defended the cultural institution against the recent scuffle that occurred between Jopadhola and Itesosts saying it was his counterparts the Itesots who provoked the Jopadhola by organizing the cultural event in Tororo Municipality without following any protocol.

Today, while addressing a press conference at his home in Amagoro “A” North Tororo Municipality Kwar Adhola said he would have welcomed His Royal Highness Papa Augustine Osuban lemukol if all protocol had been followed while organizing the heritage day.

He says the move was viewed by the Jopadhola as an insult to their cultural leader and abuse of the coronation ground,King George Stadium.

The Iteso Cultural Heritage day which attracted Itesots from different parts of the world was slated for 16th December 2017 but did not take place after Police called it off following protests that claimed one life.

Meanwhile in his New Year message Kwar Adhola appealed for unity and peace among the people of Tororo so as to foster development.
