The West Budama North MP Othieno Okoth has unveiled a move to save Paya Secondary School from collapsing as a result of multiple challenges
The school is currently having a number of problems among them under stuffing and this came as a result of transfer of four teachers without replacement. For close to two years now, the school currently lacks teachers to handle English, computer, commerce, Agriculture and fine art.
West Budama North Mp Othieno Okoth recruited two teachers of English and one for Commerce and these are currently being paid by the MP. While presenting the teachers to the school administration yesterday the vice chairperson of the legislature’s task force Job Agoso said the MP intervened after several complaints by several stakeholders about the school’s alarming status.
Meanwhile the LC3 chairperson Paya sub county Alfred Oketcho Soye blamed the school head teacher Mwambu Andrew for the poor administration at the school. He accuses Mwambu of assuming all responsilities at the school something he says affects his service delivery as the Head teacher.
