Teachers at Podut primary school through one of their colleagues have responded to the community outcry over allegations of failure to manage the school.
During an interview with East FM Aggrey Owori one of the teachers at Podut primary said that the reason as to why there are few children at the school since the beginning of term is because of the cleaning exercise that is done at the school at the beginning of the term.
He said the school faces a challenge from the community around the school who use the school utilities during holidays such as classrooms and toilets.
Owor also says that time and again they have found used condom in the class rooms a sign that the community uses the school class rooms as lodges during holidays.
However the Chairperson School Management Committee Asaph Ochieng confirmed the incident but says parents are not sending their children to the school is because they want some teachers transferred from the school for allegedly conniving with the head teacher to fail the school.
The teachers wanted transferred are Sophia Achieng and Aggrey Owor.
Our effort to get comments from the head teacher was not fruitful because she had gone to attend his mother’s funeral
