The Tororo RDC Martin Orochi has described the cholera out break in Malaba town council as a security threat. Oroch has asked the town clerk Irene Okuna to write a formal report to the district security committee within three days on the status of sanitation in Malaba.
The RDC made the remarks today during a fact finding meeting for the district task force on Cholera management held at Malaba Central ward which was attended by VHTs, civil servants, health workers politicians and partners in cholera management.
The Malaba Health Centre IV in charge Fred Emojong said the centre has put in place standard facilities to manage cholera and these include drugs, transport and isolation rooms.
Acting District chairperson called on residents of Malaba town to manage hygiene right from their homes.
